The Burning Trees research and project investigates burning in the Amazon. Currently, the forest emits more than it removes carbon from the atmosphere due to large- scale burning. 3D digital modeling plus digital painting represent these events in the graphic environment.

The technology has been a great ally in helping to fight through satellite monitoring

systems and space research.

The next steps in visual research are to investigate images and visual compositions of these monitoring programs and increasing them in the composition of new hybrid digital works, with 3D printing and augmented reality .

The reduction of the forest influences the increase in temperature and inhibit s

evapotranspiration. This may explain the catastrophic events that have been

happening in Brazil , increasing the emission of greenhouse gases. The project aims

to create an immersive digital environment with a backdrop of burning trees and

huddled trunks to emphasize what has been happening and stimulate reflection on

possible measures to preserve and save the rainforest.
